The voluntary contribution funds are the life's blood of the Society, keeping our pro-active efforts vibrant, strong, and effective. From the Legislative Action Fund (LAF) to the Political Action Committee (PAC) efforts to the EA Promo Fund and Major Media Marketing (3M) Funds... All of these funds need YOUR help and support, because THEY provide crucial usefulness in supporting YOU and your professional designation. If you contribute the amount of just ONE typical tax return each year, these funds will continue to support our crucial activities.
Legislative Action Fund: The LAF was formed in 1985; it not only funds the battle against legislative attempts that may inhibit the rights of EAs to practice their proven skills, but has a positive and proactive effect on the promotion of the specific interests of EAs. Political Action Fund: The PAC makes contributions to candidates for elective office who have the potential for impacting pertinent state ligislation or related regulations. The PAC also funds our professional Legislative Advocate (lobbyist) who represents the rights and interests of our Members. Contributions to this fund support CSEA's lobbying activities on behalf of its Members and are not deductible for tax purposes.
CSEA Education Foundation is a separate organization from CSEA. It is dedicated to advancing tax knowledge through scholarships and education, supporting and encouraging the increased professionalism of current and future EAs by generating and granting funds to enhance their education, and promoting the understanding of the tax system as a cornerstone of the quality of life in America. Contributions to the CSEA Education Foundation are deductible for tax purposes.EA Promotion Fund advances the awareness of Enrolled Agents among the public at large.
